Today, we’re excited to announce that Shipyard has become an official technology partner of CircleCI, bringing you the Shipyard Orb. Users are now able to use Shipyard with CircleCI to run CircleCI jobs that use staging environments automatically deployed by Shipyard, authenticating into them via a bypass token.
The Orb
The Shipyard CircleCI Orb retrieves the token needed to bypass your ephemeral environment’s OAuth flow. Once you have this, you can pass it to other CircleCI jobs and programmatically connect to your environment. Our most common use-case is for end-to-end tests, but any sort of interaction with the environment is fair game.
